The house was builted in 1760 by sir Edward William Gray. This house has so much to offer, with its six fireplaces, thick stone walls, exposed timbers and wood flooring. All rooms are non-smoking and without televisions, but have private baths. The hotel also offers three spacious suites, including one with a private balcony. Breakfast, included in your room rate, is served at a large table in the kitchen, in a friendly, family atmosphere. The building, a listed historical monument, is the only surviving example in Old Montréal of a typical commercial property of the 18th century that did double duty as a home and a place of work. That’s surely one reason so many visitors stop to take photos of it.
